Kismayo (HOL) – A delegation led by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in Kismayo, the capital of the Lower Jubba region, on Wednesday to escalate ongoing military operations.
Jubbaland State President Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe, along with his deputies, ministers, MPs from Jubbaland, and other people, warmly welcomed the delegation at Kismayo airport.
Villa Somalia stated that the President’s trip to Kismayo is linked to the culmination of operations against the al-Shabaab group, the advancement of the federalization process, and the assessment of the living conditions of the people in Jubbaland.
The President and his delegation are expected to hold meetings with the Jubbaland administration and various segments of society during their stay in Kismayo.
