Kismayo (HOL) – New developments have been revealed in the tragic murder of Foos Aden Noor, a 54-year-old esteemed businesswoman, who was brutally killed by unidentified gunmen in Abudwak, Galgaduud region, on Tuesday evening. It was initially reported by neighbours as a suspected murder robbery. As the community grapples with the aftermath of this shocking event, authorities are piecing together the circumstances that led to Noor’s untimely death, shedding light on a crime that has deeply affected the local and surrounding areas.

Contrary to initial reports that Galgadud state security forces detained several suspects, Abudwak district police, led by Commander Bilal Hassan Ali,  told reporters that the assailants managed to escape. The incident has prompted a thorough investigation by local security forces, uncovering clues that suggest rural bandits may be responsible. Ali highlighted the unusual nature of this violence, marking a disturbing departure from the tribal conflicts typically seen in the area.

The victim’s son, Sayed Farhan Artan, who witnessed the attack, provided a harrowing account of the events leading to her mother’s death. The motive behind the killing remains unclear, especially since no theft was reported, contradicting initial suspicions of a robbery gone wrong.
