Mogadishu (HOL) – A delegation led by Minnesota State Representative Hodan Hassan (DFL-Minneapolis) arrived in Mogadishu on Monday to see the country’s progress in development and state-building.
Somali lawmakers and the Ministers warmly welcomed the delegation at Mogadishu airport.
“My delegation and I have come to observe the progress Somalia has made over the last few years and to explore ways in which we can contribute—whether through dialogue, ideas, or advice. We are genuinely proud of the country’s milestones in recent weeks,” she said.
The Minnesota state representative congratulated the country on its achievements, including debt relief, joining the East African Community, lifting the arms embargo, and fighting against militants.
