Mogadishu (HOL) – Former Somali lawmaker Sheikh Shaacir Sheikh Mohamed passed away at a hospital in India on Saturday.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud stated that the late Sheikh Shaacir had served the people and the Somali government for a significant period, playing a crucial role in the development of the Somali government. He extended his deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and the entire Somali nation for the passing of the former lawmaker.
The Speaker of the Lower House, Sheikh Adan Mohammed Noor Madobobe, also expressed his condolences to the family, relatives, and the nation at large for the death of Sheikh Shaacir.
Sheikh Shaacir was a member of the 8th, 9th, and 10th Parliament, actively participating in various conferences to build the government and foster peace in the Somali community.
