Mogadishu (HOL) – Several mortars landed inside Mogadishu’s Bakara market on Tuesday, causing unknown casualties.
The mortars struck commercial centers within the market, according to the traders.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, although al-Shabab militants typically carry out mortar attacks targeting Somali government centers and Mogadishu airport.
Police security forces have initiated an investigation into the origin of the mortars.
