Garowe (HOL) – The semi-autonomous police force in Puntland has identified two men accused of killing two police officers in Galkacyo town on Wednesday night.
The Puntland Police chief has ordered the arrest of Hussein Musa Farah and his son Mohamed Hussein Musa, who reportedly killed two officers named Hussein Abdul Omar and Mohamed Diriye in the Halabokhad neighbourhood of Galkayo City.
A statement from the police urged anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the Puntland Police Force. The two suspects, a father and his son, were reported to have fled the area after committing the murder.
The motive behind the killing remains unknown, despite several incidents of clan revenge killings occurring in the town over the last few years.
